PLEASE REDIAL
Our good friend Redial (Sweat It Out/Sydney), has sent over two of his new tunes. And both are absolutely mindblowing, steering a little away from his usual cross breed of orchestral and thrash. He has started making some beautiful Nu Disco, still on the harder tip but absolute dancefloor destroyers.
My fingers are crossed that Redial continues traveling down this path of sound, because I’m definitely going to be playing both of these.
Redial – Heart
Dropping on one blog in 128kbps, I think it’s time we share this huge tune. The tremolo on those notes makes me go cold. Massive build up, even bigger drop. HUGE HAPPY TUNE!
Redial – Let Me Go Feat. Nik Valentino
Redials first vocal original, really digging this one. Still on that harder nu disco edge with eery vocals.
P VS OB
We like to throw a party, we have one every week. Same deal this time around, except we’ve got the addition of resident alcoholics P VS OB playing mainroom!
October is the start of a very good month, with Parklife, Arcade Hotel Edition, Congorock, Arcade Halloween and all the stuff in between. So let’s start off with a bang this week.

HAND PICKED BLISS
Sunday is inevitable, it comes once every week. It’s the end of the week, but most of the time it feels like the end of the world. This is why I love Sunday.
Here are some hand picked tunes that I like to listen to on a Sunday.
Miami Horror – Don’t Be On With Her (Cyndi Seui Remix)
This is probably the most under played remix off of “Bravado : The Remixes”, a real good day starter. Beautiful choppy vocals, perfect synth hooks and just all round good remix.
Au Revoir Simone – Another Likely Story (Aeroplane Remix)
After her stellar vocals for Friendly Fires – Paris (Aeroplane Remix), it was a matter of time before they were to work together again. This remix is slightly more uptempo for Aeroplane but they still put it off with absolute excellence. The bassline in this track is incredible. I love driving to this song!
Major Lazer – Cash Flow (Classixx Glass Bottom Dub Mix)
I know, when you see Major Lazer you think of that incredibly annoying, yet catchy weird vocal noise from Pon De Floor. Here is something to prove just how amazing Classixx are if you still need persuading after our previous post.
Shazam – Luckier (Original Mix)
Three minutes and fifteen seconds of down tempo sexual bliss. No better way to explain it. Oh, and the lead at 2:15… shivers.
The XX – Shelter (ThemJeans Drum Edit)
The XX are soon going to be a name around town, comparable to the likes of Passion Pit. They are currently getting alot of edit/remix treatment around the blogosphere. This is my favourite so far, their debut album XX is out now. Definitely worth checking out.
NIGHT BY NIGHT
My oh my, Chromeo are back with some magic. Vocoders, Electric Guitars, this is all you need to have a good time. I have been a fan of Chromeo since their first album, but they have always had trouble being consistent with their tunes. If this track is anything to go by from the new album, I think they might of just cracked it.
They released this tune a couple of days ago on Green Label Sound for free, but it’s incredibly hard to figure out how to download it. So to save you’re trouble, here is an easy download link.
No details on who’s doing the remix package, but I’m personally hoping for Bag Raiders & Fred Falke.
Also, you may remember a few months back we had Sweat It Out’s Redial play a banging set, he’s just finished a remix for La Roux – Bulletproof. This ones for all you girly girls and girly guys. Fucking good.
Bulletproof (Redial Remix) – La Roux
THE TWELVES
Once upon a time, there were 4 boys with an idea. An idea to change Thursday nights in Adelaide for ever. These boys were 8 Bit Kidz. For those of you who don’t remember, our opening show was one of the biggest nights of the year with a live show from The Twelves (Brazil). They have since been releasing remixes for massive artists like Noah & The Whale, Radiohead, La Roux & Many more. It’s been a long time since they released a mixtape, and trust me it has been very worth the wait.
The Twelves have pulled together this incredible 60 minute mix titled THE TWELFTH HOUR.
Rarely do I download mixes purely because there is so much of the same thing floating around at the moment, but this is something else. Mashed with such seamless beauty, expect Pheonix, The Gossip, Daft Punk, The Twelves Originals, Michael Jackson and that’s just in the first 10 minutes. Expect to hear this mixtape in heavy circulation this summer.
Fuck me these guys are brilliant, I honestly can’t wait to see them again.
There is just too much beautiful stuff going on in this mixtape, considering most of it was played live. Therefore no tracklist. Just enjoy it as you should, and listen to the whole thing. Every 5 minutes there is something to make your head give the nod of approval.

COOLSTEREO
Adam & Eves. Susans & Steves. We welcome you to a once in a lifetime opportunity. Seldom do you get to see somebody who grew up with a pack of wolves DJ. Now’s you’re chance.
Some say he’s penis is actually bigger then life itself. Others say he’s the love child of Mozart and Marilyn Manson. With a name like Tony, you know it’s going to be big.
Bridging the gap between disco & dirt, Coolstereo has the potential to end the world. Witness it only at 8 Bit Kidz. Every Thursday.
People often use the expression, I’d rather watch paint dry. In this case I beg to differ, but we’ll let you be the judge.
A-TRIZZLE
Have a nice day.
CHICAGO, CHICAGO
Inspired by the Thursday just past. This post is most definitely on the subtle edge, Holy Ghost (Above) released I Will Come Back a while ago now on Green Label Sound, and stupidly. I slept on the video even though I fell instantly in love with the track. The arty vibe it gives off is incredible and a pleasure to watch after a heavy weekend. Beautiful.
I Will Come Back got the remix treatment from DJ Mehdi & Classixx, props to Mehdi for making it a bit more appealing in the club, but Classix completely change the vibe of the tune and make it into a heavenly dream instead of a piece of music.
Holy Ghost – I Will Come Back (Classixx Acupulco Nights Version) [200 kbps VBR]
It seems that anything Classixx touch turns to gold at the moment, with every remix of late being so ridiculously on point. It’s rare to see such consistency in music anymore, especially when you are pushing out remix after remix. Most recently they laid hands on Psychic City by Yacht and turned it into an absolute down tempo gem. I do not recommend getting this track unless you are willing to have it stuck in your head for the next week. iTunes indicates I may just be addicted to this song with 25 listens in a day.
Yacht – Psychic City (Classixx Remix) [320 kbps]
Happy Listening.

See you on the dancefloor.
IN THE BUTT
It’s Sunday, it’s been a huge weekend. Nick Foley ended a 6 week detox, 8 Bit Kidz got hoodies, and incase you’ve been under a rock. Loot & Plunder are now flying the Sweat It Out flag high and proud. We have some largeness on the horizons, with some big big acts on the way + stuff that is so exciting, that I can’t even get the words out of my mouth.
As it’s Sunday, I couldn’t think of anything better then smooth, easy to digest tunes that are just made for the people that feel sorry for themselves at the end of every weekend.
Firstly, a man that is very soon to grace our land. (Halloween anybody) Boy 8 Bit has thrown together a cover of the almost legendary Fake Blood – Mars. This cover gives a completely different vibe to the original, with a much more uplifting spirit about it. Check it out
Fake Blood – Mars (Boy 8 Bit Cover)
And my second offering to you today, is this mighty fine remix of Cheap as Chimps by an Adelaide favourite James Curd. This has a very housey feel about it, but it’s probably one of the most played songs on my iTunes at the moment. Beautiful vocals too, get down!
Cheap As Chimps – Hold My Hand (James Curd Remix)
Check back later in the week for some amazing little suprises from this weeks guest. Cassian
